Art and design exhibition from April 18 to July 12, 2024

In our latitudes, seasons tirelessly mark the passage of time. In the spring of 2024, the 'Efflorescences' exhibition celebrates the season of renewal: from stems and branches come buds, which become flowers. Nature takes on new finery and colors.

Conceived as an invitation to 'pick' the moment as one picks flowers, or as one receives a bouquet, the exhibition raises the question of time and memory: how can we make this moment last, remember it and keep it close to us? How do we gather and share the beauty of a flower?

The vase, that object on the shelf or at the back of the cupboard, is there. It seemed empty, yet it already had its own existence, its own beauty. Giorgio Morandi captured it in each of his canvases. Surprisingly, it sometimes unfolds like a flower...

Let's take a fresh look at this pedestal object, and magnify an everyday object. Of course, like Jean-Pierre Raynaud, one can place a monumental pot on a pedestal, and dress it in gold. Or one can also consider it as an end in itself, functional and non-functional at the same time, a piece of design and a work of art, exploring techniques, forms, histories and materials. This is what the artists featured in this exhibition have skilfully done: Marion Benoit, Bold design, Ana Brecevic, Lorien Cau, Franck Cazenave, éditions du coté, Sylvie Enjalbert, Silène Fry, Tom Gallant, Pedro Galdon & Ainhoa Pérez-Urdangarin, Pauline Pietri, Sabourin Costes, Mioko Tanaka, and Nicolas Verschaeve.

The éditions du coté gallery is a space dedicated to creation. You'll see the éditions du coté objects, as well as a curated selection of other pieces promoting similar values. At the crossroads of design, art and craftsmanship, the gallery presents furniture, lighting and accessories brands that are all either handcrafted or manufactured by small, usually family-owned businesses. The creation, development and production processes are all done in Europe, regionally and locally.
Born from the collaboration between éditions du coté and interior design agency Maentler Architectes d'Intérieur,

who curate the space together, the space welcomes visitors, private or corporate, by appointment only from Monday to Friday.
