Recently arriving in the Basque Country after training with the best luthiers in the world in Quebec, Australia and Paris, Virgile Pilon has chosen Anglet for its gentle outdoor lifestyle. Ironically, he still spends most of his time in his workshop!
Virgile is an obsessively hard-worker and blues guitar lover. Inspired by legendary players from Blind Willie Johnson to Robert Johnson, Pilon makes high-end acoustic guitars with a twist: mixing classic shapes with state-of-the-art modern internal architecture. His knowledge of rare tonewoods, their character and the latest techniques to make them resonate their best, allows him to produce musical instruments of an unmatched quality.
